Finishing a Build, AMD FX 6300 vs the Intel core- i3 4150.

Hey everyone, I don't want to turn this into a company war, but I just want a little advice. If I go with either CPU, I will most likely upgrade in 1 or 2 years, so I just want opinions. This is the build I am looking to get:

If your going to upgrade later i would go i3 with a Z97 board

Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Corsair H105, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite, Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3600MHz, EVGA RTX 3070Ti FTW3, Samsung 850 Pro / WD SN850 / OCZ Trion 150

i3-4150 is better for gaming, FX 6300 is better for video rendering, photo editing, etc.

With the i3, you have a better upgrade path in the future, with the FX, you don't.

Go with the i3. I have had better luck with intel than AMD.

I have an FX 6300 right now and it's nice for productivity, and it's a lot faster at rendering than my old Phenom ii x4 965, but the i3 performs better in games (Especially Arma 3). 

I'm that guy with the GPD Win.

That's what I was thinking, I want to upgrade to an i5 later on. I only have around 500$ so I'll get a z97 board along with the i5, in the future.

What I recommended would be better, CPU wise. PSU is also better, as is motherboard and arguably RAM. No need for an aftermarket cooler, since you won't be overclocking. Stock cooler will perform perfectly fine, and you could always add an aftermarket cooler later if you really want to. NZXT have LED strips that are quite nice and don't cost too much.

I'd personally say it's wiser to get a better PSU, MB, CPU and arguably RAM, rather than a slightly better GPU. The 270 can be overclocked to match the performance of a 270x and that will perform perfectly fine at 1080p, maxing a lot of games.

 

Difference between 270x and 280 is minimal. However, you could go with my build, get rid of the SSD and swap the 270 for a 280, then add a better SSD down the line, when you have a bit more money, something like an MX100 or HyperX Fury.

The core i3 plays most games better and offer you an upgrade path to an i5 or i7 if you want more down the road.

Its also A LOT more energy efficient.

I'd personally say it's wiser to get a better PSU, MB, CPU and arguably RAM, rather than a slightly better GPU. The 270 can be overclocked to match the performance of a 270x and that will perform perfectly fine at 1080p, maxing a lot of games.

Difference between 270x and 280 is minimal. However, you could go with my build, get rid of the SSD and swap the 270 for a 280, then add a better SSD down the line, when you have a bit more money, something like an MX100 or HyperX Fury.
