So I just got my Christmas money...

jakjakattack

I want an ssd 128gb probably but if there is a good deal I could go up to 240/256. I found this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JN1TY9U/?tag=pcpapi-20 for 90 which seems like a great deal but I am not sure whether it is reliable or not. I also found a 840 evo and a intel 530 120gb for 70$. Or should I pick a different one entirely. What would you reccomend?

Another vote for the mx100! Amazing SSD for the money.

Go with intel/ samsung for best performance or reliability. I'm sure there are also other brands like this but intel/ samsung get thrown around a lot for the SSD brand to buy.

I would not get that SSD........scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the reviews about it from verified purchasers. Also, stay away from the Silicon Power s70 which is around the same price but they have a "bait and switch" problem with that ssd, meaning they advertise one thing and send you something else of lesser performance.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Oh no, the only way I was going to buy this was if you guys recommended it. I was always mainly planning on the 840/530/mx100

The 840 is the same price as the 850 and the 850 is better and doesn't suffer from the problem on the 840 where the speed degrades over time unless you install a newer firmware. Going for a 850 EVO myself soon. The 530 is great too.
