Hey guys, I am needing help on a super-important decision: Should I bring my rig up to my grandma's for Christmas?

 

I will be up there for 2-3 days

If i do bring it up, it will have to sit on my lap for 2 1/2 hours on the car ride up.

How old are you?  Do any of the people you will be seeing have any Computer Knowledge?  Also why don't you have a GPU?

You could just bring a tablet, but if you're going to bring your rig I'd take the GPU out as it might flex if the car has a crappy suspension system.

 

I'd bring it tho.

just bring a laptop or tablet, you can survive without your rig for 3 days, i am going to have to survive without it for 2 weeks

When i used to go to my grandmothers house I would take my basic stuff for my rig, the tower, keyboard, mouse, and use an old monitor that they had. If you do it please for the love of god don't just sit  in the guest room alone playing. Go visit. If you have a laptop or a tablet just take that 3 days is not that long <3

Nah cause yo would need a monitor also, bring a console if you have one.

Spend time with your family, I go almost every weekend in the summer and 2 weeks in the summer at the lake where the power is so bad I can't bring my rig, and it's not that bad, just bring a phone, I don't have a laptop or phone and just used my iPod for the past 2 years to deal with it.

I don't have a smartphone, and the only tablet in the house is my mom's iPad, also, the only computers up there are my grandma's 2010 imac, which someone is always on, or my grandma's old computer, An old P4 rig that's super slow even after i removed all the bloatware (norton anyone?)

Needs: food, clothing, roof overhead etc.

the other thing is, I don't have any relatives coming that are my age, and all the adults just sit around and talk. there really isn't anything else to do at my grandparents other than help my grandpa with chores (they live on a farm) but that takes maybe and hour or two a day.
