My gtx 970 windforce gets really hot

InfamousGamer

When I play csgo which is not a very intensive game I play at the same settings as I did on my 660 but my 970 is a about 20°c hotter I thought the three fans would help but my house with my pc off is around 50°f but my 970 runs at like 75°c so it ends up being about 85°f does is it that for everyone or is something up?

The Sidepanel needs fans blowing OUT not in bra

Likely disrupting airflow that way, since he's not using a blower style cooler.

Well the toxic and tri-x card is like the windforce and my buddy have better temps using the side panel fan as intake.

That is how I have my fans set up I will try getting afterburner the fans might not be running at full speed because that happened on my 660 when I would play a game the fan was stuck at 30%

Maybe your pc is not gettin´ enough air?

If you got some extra fans laying around, try this: http://cdn.overclock.net/c/ca/cab5a64e_d7cb5b1c_computer02b.png oh wrong with the sidepanel

(don´t change the fan from the sidepane to blowing inl)

Front intake: blowing in (max rpm)

If you can, fan from bottom, blowing in (max rpm)

Sidepanel, blowing out (if you can, play a little with the rpm, try lower rpm or higher?)

If you can, top intake, fan blowing in

Back of your case, fan blowing out

Yeah, it's a 3 fan design, meaning a fan will be close to the side panel fan. They will be competing for air.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

ok.

Aren´t they all 3 the same distance from the sidepanel??

I don´t know what you mean, my windforce just blows the heat out normally and is cold as fck.

Edit: oh, yes now I know what you mean, sry. Not with mine, but i don´t have big ass 200mm fan on the sidepanel :,D

140mm ftw. Good point there
