GoN6rUK.jpg

Been a while since an update, been busy in real life :)

Here's the EK Supremacy CPU block and EK Monarch ram blocks I'll be using!

(No, not an EVO, I got this block before the EVO came out)

I can't get over how beautiful this build is. Probably because I adore minimalism and this is very minimalistic.

Thanks. I hope to capture the subtle elegance of the case exterior with the build on the interior also. Literally everything inside will be black except the CPU block and the tubing.

That looks great!

I like the mobo layout.

Resolution is a word. 5 is a number.

Yeah the space between the psu and mobo will contain an EK res/pump combo

The PSU seems the slightest bit overkill wouldn't you say?

The two Titan Zs, i7-5960X and watercooling components are likely gonna take up a wicked lotta power. Maybe a 1600W PSU is, but Jay has a similar-ish setup with the same PSU (although three 980s instead of two Titan Zs) and I don't hear him complaining much.

With heavy overclocking I think it'll be a "safe" power limit. I benched the parts with a 1200w Seasonic and no fans, lighting, pump etc... It pulled 1100 if I recall. I think after overclocking I'll feel more comfortable with the 1600.

Received another care package from Slovenia today...

Six of EKs new delicious Vardar fans. I opted for the all-black 3000rpm "FF5" series Vardar fans. Out of the box the FF5 version comes with red sleeving which is purty, but I'll be re-sleeving with something that matches the build more.

Really digging the clean aesthetic :)

On their FB they called them, and I quote "GT Killers" ballsy move. I dont think they will be as quiet...

The ones with the lower RPMs will beas slow, these 3000 RPM ones are going to be loud though

Well they better be damn good if they use their fans in the same sentence as GTs, let alone saying they "kill' the Scythes.

Interested seeing what you find out, James. Oh, and the build is looking good, as usual ;)
