SO yea this is way off topic for a tech forum but thats what the "off topic " section is for :P

 

Let me just start off by saying that my girlfriend of 4 months broke up with me 2 days ago (sort of , broken up but might get back together once she has sorted her head out ) , and im finding it really hard to deal with , i honestly love her she was my first true love.

we were in a long distance relationship with me in the UK and her in florida , so a very big distance , she says that she still loves me but she needs some time , but i am scared she will find someone 

else and forget me , it really scares me , i was going to visit her on my birthday ( feb 5th ) , i already have half the money saved and i was about to sell my PC to pay for the rest so i could visit her sooner 

 

im gonna lay out some facts so its easier for you peeps to digest 

 

1 . It was very long distance 

2 . we both still love each other

3 . she didnt tell her parents at all ( i think thats what got to her )

4 . we used skype pretty much daily to Cam with each other 

5 . we were very serious very quickly , but she seemed fine with it , she said she was 

 

i havent eaten or slept for 2 days , but i dont feel tired or hungry , i have gone really quiet around people ive said 4 words to my dad in 2 days ...

 

This really hit me hard , anyone got any advice ?

Me and my girlfriend of 5 years parted ways a few months ago.

 

Find a friend, vent a little, and grow from it.  Other than that it'll suck for a while.  Not really sure it's the same, as we broke up on pretty good terms (wont go into the details) but don't let it get to you too bad.  Statistically, theres bound to be another person out there for you.

If they don't want you leave it clearly it isnt going to work out, first true loves can be hard to get over but i's best to move on, 4months is not a very long time if she is already feeling like that it's probably not meant to be

Without trying to sound harsh: 4 months is nothing. By the sounds of it you're young; there are 'plenty more fish in the sea.'

If anything you were lucky she broke up with you before you sold your PC as I'm 90% you would have broken up sooner or later and ended up regretting selling it.

I'd just hang round with friends or find something to occupy yourself while you get over this.
