When will core iX series end?

Just a bit of a food for thought topic here.

The intel core i series processors have been around for several years now and have been present across a variety of sockets with a great diversity in products and seemingly will be present for many years to come. Do you think Intel will ever rebrand some of their new processors in the future by some different name and when do you think this will occur?

They probably will when a revolutionary technology gets developed like mainstream quantum processors or something.

Then they will no longer use the Core branding and change to something fresh.

Hard to tell... They will have to have an immense change in technology to change the name. Then again. It's Intel.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

They'll switch from Core i when Apple stops suing their ass over the i. (no idea if they actually are)

They should call it the iCore so Apple can silently fume in a corner :P

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Pls, if Intel shifts the "i" to be in front of the product name I will switch to AMD. The icopycat nature of the tech industry makes me facepalm..I blame the non techies of the world who hype Apple enough for that to even be a thing. I liked it better when the trend was place "e" before everything..though that was also herp.

Core3 Hex.. nah

They'll just call it Intel Core 6, or Intel Core 8.

Something like that :)

On the low end laptop stuff they've started to rebrand it as Intel Core
