[Scratch Build] Project Arctic, A teenagers first Scratchbuild! Final Pictures up!

FlashEmirald90

That was a pretty good idea. Never though of that haha. Thanks

Indeed, check the teaser down below ;) Thanks,

Here comes a teaser until next update!

-sexy girl+blokes+PC+shopwtf.jpg-

This is from the event I was at last weekend together with my friend Frida from Intels Kitchen

Quick question:

What is that shop and why do not we have anything like that here in Northern Ireland?

Whenever I go to a shop to buy a monitor I tend to leave with an SSD or something as well, I just love these type of shops :(

it looks amazing, but can we have a covarage on the other PC as well?

Mmmm so nice, and yet yeah, I too like the raw metal look, it would probably look really good no matter how it's painted!

The painting

This is the painting result, must say I am satisfied since this was my first time ever powdercoating. Great that they made me do it myself!
I had to do some pushing and bending with the PSU. Hard to fit it all in there...

IMG_0407_zpse76dd14f.jpg

Once again, thanks to Anna @ Silverstone for fixing this one for me!

IMG_0409_zps3a3eac44.jpg

Eventually I got it all cramped in there, and looks great to be honest! Although, I feel like I should have changed the fan because it make some noise....

IMG_0408_zps8a442e4c.jpg

Here is the hooks, too bad they did not go in all the way.... No good way to file it down either...

IMG_0418_zps03d3552b.jpg

Great thing is that the HyperX Fury RAM matches the paint perfectly!

IMG_0420_zpsfb080649.jpg

Had to cut some screws to make it fit in the radiator tho :D

That is Inet in Sweden! They have 5 awesome stores like this, all computer hardware!

I link to the worklog instantly so you can watch it yourself! Hope Linus are fine with linking to another forum when it can't be found here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=228523&page=4

Amazing Work :) Cant wait to see more :)

More above!

Mounting the waterblocks!

Time to get the watercooling going!

Finally I got the parts from EKWB, shipping took 36 hours, impressed! Thanks Peter :D

IMG_0555_zpse238a24d.jpg

Sorry to tell you, this nailpolish remover was all I had at home and had no time to fix anything else for the matter of time....

IMG_0564_zpsa040e89b.jpg

No polish needed for this one tho, found myself a new mirror *_*

IMG_0559_zps0e574b27.jpg

However, the block fits like a charm!

IMG_0561_zpse089127f.jpg

The same goes with the GPU!

IMG_0575_zpsa0a5b1b1.jpg

And a nice cross!

IMG_0566_zps7798e1b2.jpg

But when I mounted it in the case I came to realize a devestating problem. The block is too high after my design mistake corrections....
I can't put on the side panel with the blocks mounted

IMG_0568_zps27203a9e.jpg

There was a fast fix for that tho! As my friend Fredrik bought 100 stand-offs for me the last week I could improvise

IMG_0569_zps30336ef0.jpg

And instead of a failure, it could look like a feature!

IMG_0570_zpscbb7fb46.jpg

Sadly no fullcoverblock released for Dreamhack in time, so had to stick with this one, still looks great!

IMG_0592_zps78c2a197.jpg

Next time I will show you some stuff when it is all filled up and ready! :D

Finals!

I can't describe how happy I am right now, Arctic is up and running, I got some pictures I really like and I made it to the Mod of The Month at Bit-tech! Getting on MOTM is a big thing for me, always been a goal since I was about 14 haha.

I want to thank my sponsors, supporters and all of those who have helped me or given me thoughts!

This is lovely....almost too pretty to be real. Never gave small cases much interest but i'll say this is hands down the best project i've seen so far. Also really nice pic quality :)

Looks amazing. Really like the headphone stand too.

Is there no motherboard backplate?

Also, feels a bit out of place since it is so small compared to the rest on your desk.

What keyboard is that? :D
