ok so i have always wanted to be a cop, my uncle is a cop.

I have also wanted to do youtube which i currently am but i was wondering is what im doing on youtube gonna effect me becoming a cop.

I am talking about

- constantly swearing

- being happy when certain game characters die (For example duck from the walking dead i was ecstatic when that happened)
- i also rarely have a filter when it comes to commentating

so will any of the effect me becoming a cop

Rule of thumb: If you're considering the implications, pick the option that is least likely to produce a negative result.

None of them will effect you becoming a cop, they, might, however affect your ability to become one. Depends on just how deep/what the recruiter is concerned with.

They are not unlawful things, so no. If you would sell coke for example, it would matter. But videogame characters and swearing. You sir are in clear water.

It should be fine, as long as what you are doing is lawful

That said, if you have a problem with a vocal filter, your chance of being a cop might be low anyway, they generally have to keep a lid on it and not run their mouth

Playing video games and cursing is not offensive. But the Australian government, so I don't know for sure. Go for it.

"fair game" is not really the response I was hoping for, if you were on the job you have to choose your language extremely careful

Most cops swear far worse than any citizen.

Anyway, on topic. Just don't swear in front of instructors and you will be fine, once you get a badge it's a free pass to do whatever the hell you want. At least that's what it is these days. :)

In Serbia maybe, perhaps the police are different here in England, they often request for people being arrested not to swear etc

In every country, cops are corrupt, they do approach you nicely, they behave when asking for documents etc. but once you see them off duty, drinking and driving because their friends won't write them tickets, all sorts of bullshit that they know they can get away with. Perhaps you don't notice it because you live in a bigger city or never crossed them, in a smaller city where you can spectate them off duty, you would be surprised.

Have you ever called bullshit to a cop? For example, two cops pulled me over because "one of my headlights wasn't working" on a Yamaha Fazer 600, now if you know anything about motorcycles, some of them use one light for short and both for long headlights so it's working fine. But both of them were so sure and so rude to the extent that I started shouting at them and told them they should go to the factory and check since they don't seem to know anything and they are working as traffic cops (I didn't use any swear words). You should have seen them, they were on fire, just pissed...

Just remember lawyers are pricks and they will dig anything up on you they can if they think it will help. E.G you become a cop, arrest someone for drugs or speeding and their lawyer digs up an old you tube video and takes what you said out of context and makes it look like you arrested the man because you have a chip on your shoulder.  It happens to politicians all the time,  think of all the useless shit the media bandy about the place on tony abott and Julia gillard in the last few years all in the name of selling their news.  Lawyers are worse than that, they get paid more to dig deeper.

TL:DR  I wouldn't,  anything can be taken out of context and used against you later on.

I still reckon they'll find you if they look hard enough. there's always someone who knows, someone with a gripe, someone after quick cash. we encounter to many people in real life to hide things like that from them all.
