Hello! I've recently heard of the custom PC building company, Digital Storm, and I'm thinking of buying a desktop PC(Specifically the Apollo) from them. What I want to know is if any of you fellow members have a desktop from them, and if there PC's are worth the money and have reasonable performance. Thanks.

They have a rep or two that come to the forum & he's a cool guy. The company itself is pretty good and what you expect from a pre-built shop price wise.

don't forget HP. JK

My brother originally intended to buy one of those god awful HP "Phoenix Gaming" PCs. I managed to convince him that building your own is a much better choice. Now he has a custom built I helped him out with. I saved the day with that one.

My previous computer was a HP prebuilt. Now I use it as a footrest. Only thing it's ever been useful for.

On topc though: Never heard anything bad about them personally so I would guess so :)

If you are going to go that route, they do great work. I would of course suggest doing everything yourself. I have sent tons of clients and customers to them, though I would suggest doing a lot of research and calling around. Get on the phone, speak to the Sales guys. Find someone you like. You can PM me if you want, if you look at my profile you can see I have a lot of experience. Just make sure you get the newest, best, most expensive, Intel & Nvidia you can afford. Don't ever buy a pre-built AMD Rig. In my personal experience you are 2 or 3 times more likely to have issues. Relative post that is sure to start a fanboy battle but needs to be dropped: http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Video-Card-Failure-Rates-by-Generation-563/ and here is another one (Though AMD has somehow convinced Origin -Another great System Configurator, to somehow come back to them): http://www.brightsideofnews.com/2013/10/15/bsn-interviews-origin-pc-ceo-on-dropping-amd-gpus/ and sorry to all the AMD fanboys out there, I know the truth hurts but AMD is a joke of a company right now turning out horrible products after horrible products. Ultra-high failure rates, and worst Customer Service / Product Support in the biz to boot. They are left to slash prices so low it makes you wonder how they are making money, only to find out they have not made a profit in YEARS: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/07/17/us-adm-results-idUSKBN0FM2R720140717 . Of course, then you think oh well they give you awesome games and codes for stuff to make up for all the BS right ?

WRONG:

https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/184347/amd-mustang-promotion-contact-amd-and-ask-them-wtf-gives

You don't even get the codes half the time. Okay, that was a little sensationalist, but you get the point.

Anyway, I will reccomend Origin, AVA Direct, Perfomance PC's, Digi Storm, Puget System's (Probably my favorite to work with), but again you should really just do everything yourself for a number of reasons that I do not even have to mention.

Hope this helps.

I think DigitalStorm is the best prebuilt PC maker. Obviously this comes with a price tag, but their customer service and quality control is better than any other prebuilt PC company.

I would recommend DS over any other brand of prebuilt.

The only prebuilt companies I would trust are Digital Storm, OriginPC, Maingear, Puget, Sager, Xidax, and Falcon. Nothing else.
