Metro 2033: High vs Very High?

Doughnutnator

Hi! My OCed GTX 760 can run Metro 2033 at High with PhysX, Tesellation and all that stuff, FPS with this configuration are in the 70-80's, but when I change to Very High FPS drop a lot but I don't notice any difference.

What do you guys think? I'm just curious. Thanks :D

screen resolution? a lot of games with these preset "High" and "very High" settings put larger textures for better resolutions in the very high tab, so if you choose high your graphics card doesn't have to buffer as much, don't quote me on this though since I am not sure how metro's graphics system works, but I don't notice much of a difference from high to very high either. not that I've done in debt research and not t hat I really play on high, I just did a quick test once.

I recall that DoF (Depth of Field) is one of the things that tanks FPS in Metro, you could try turning that off.

I have the "Advanced DoF" off, it's one of the FPS killer. Anyways I think that I will sell my 760 to get a 970 /:
