I do online school and they are making me take an online saftey courses talking about our lack of anonymity and we should fear the internet and how its not a recorce but a comunity of "hackers and ciruses"........... FREAKING LULLLLLLLLLLLLL! Ive been working a few months at a local pc shop and have my net+ and A+ certs ..... whyyyy dooo I have to do this CRAP!

any way no point to this post other than to warn others that the internet is a DANGEROUS PLACE! so be carefull!!! xD

From what I undetstand that is realllly stupid. But the internet can be a dangerious place for people who don't know very much, getting viruses and all that crap because they click on popup ads and such.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Im still in highschool and have no certs. I almost got a job working for a school distract as a computer tec and setting up servers. If I do takes classes in uni im going to be laughing a fair bit through most of it.. Thanks internet, you're going to kill me but you have taught me so much.

Speed doesn't kill people. It's the negative acceleration in such a short time that does.

Sure you're not anonymous on the internet, but several billion other people aren't either, so I wouldn't worry much about it unless you're doing bad stuff that will draw attention to you, in which case you should stop.

You're always going to get people making up stuff or bending the truth about something so that others won't use it. I think that's just dumb. I mean, why would I stop doing something just to impress someone who lives half way across the world based on my location? (Unless of course, what I'm doing is actually causing harm to someone or myself)

 

Video games, for example, get plenty of that. You'll get plenty of people saying that "you shouldn't play video games because they'll kill your brain and encourage violence", despite both claims being shot down by actual studies. Said studies actually show that video games stimulate the brain in good ways, but they don't care. They care only about trying to control people.
