Two 770s or One 760 with 4Gbs of Memory?

Owade73

A friend of mine is gonna build a system at some point and has non stop been bombarding me with questions. I don't know the answer to this though. He wanted to know if Two 770s in SLI would be better than a 760 with 4GBs of GDDR5.

How about 970's in sli? they aren't that much more. or even a 780.

but 770 sli is better if he must choose between those.

*facepalm* the 2 770s in SLI would beat the shit out of the 760, all the vram is there for is storing textures and such, the 4gb 760 is a waste.

Even one 770 would beat the shit out of a 760 4gb.

A 760's performance will be terrible by the time it utilizes even 2gb, let alone 4gb.

For context, my 3gb 780s top out at ~ 2.5gb each at 4k in BF4 with ultra settings (no AA or AO).

Two 770s would KILL one 760 4 gb!

but why would you get a 770 when you could get a 970? :P

Thank you... Try telling him that. he is on a "tight budget"
