My sister just got a new laptop and it has mcafee pre-installed I was just wondering if I should delete it and get something else

None i don't use any kind of antivirus and the pc runs good

Avast is just fine, as long as she doesn't go all around the web, downloading every .exe she sees.

if is windows 8.1, just use windows defender + malwarebytes

You're right, Malwarebyte is not an anti-virus. It is in fact anti-malware. Which means it will block a wider range of infections on your machine.

It works a lot more efficiently than any anti-virus engine I have ever seen. The scanner is extremely fast and nimble to where you can't even notice it running on the machine.

the pro version has active scanning while the free version doesn't, so I usually recommend avast and malwarebytes free
