Found out why Noctua fans are brown

its funny i use noctuas in my current system.. c70 military green case and soon to be a sabertooth z77 and green lighting.. they actually  look pretty nice with the right parts and they perform really well so even if they didnt match i would still be using.. my brother despises the things and still admitted he likes my build better then his own despite the noctuas for the simple fact its cooler quiter and thus can get better overclocks and run faster then him xP

You know, Noctuas actually look much better in person.  In images they look like an obnoxious beige color, but in person they're a softer light brown color, almost like the inside of a 3 Musketeers candy bar, or like really light chocolate milk.  :lol:

 

I still wouldn't put them in my rig, though.

Seriously the ugliest high end fans. Performance is so great but I would never EVER put them in one of my builds. Maybe in a client build if it doesn't have a window.

I do think they are overrated though, (Noiseblockers have better looks and performance for example) the colours help with that ironically.

I bought a Noctua NF-F12 and to be Honest. i LOVE the look of them. i have a Black/Red Rig and damn the noctua fan just look so Awesome. but im disapointet that it's motor is SOOOOOO Loud at 12V.

I have 8 original NF-F12s in my rig and they're great. However, I have to admit that I'm not a fan of their color scheme and have thought about switching to corsair's quiet series fans for a while. The fans are as quiet as people say they are but it doesn't help that the pump on my h105 makes a very noticeable humming noise.
