Gigabyte has the power limit set below 300W however.

Doesn't take much tweaking to get it to draw 400w however.

have a look at the link above this post I am running SLI 970's and a 4690k, you slaughter me in everything but the combined test where I have nearly 3k more points than you bringing our scores around 1k away, you should be miles and miles ahead of me

I agree, with 980ti sli he should be way ahead.

Even the graphics should be higher. I hit 20,500. You must be bottlenecking somewhere.

Where? I've got a 4820k. A HDD won't bottleneck this. Got 16GB of ram at 1866mhz. I can't see any bottlenecks here.

I've launched afterburner OSD and my GPU usage in the combined test goes down to GPU1-70%/GPU2-65%. It looks like the cards are not running the way they should be. They are not throttling and are not overclocked.

there has to be a reason for the low combined score, when you compare my score with yours I am up 55% on your combined score (and I am actually more like 500 points away from you, my rig should be only a 1-2k ahead of a single 980ti

Since firestrike usually scales perfectly according to @Lays when he had his 970's your single card GPU score would be around 15k, my G1 Gaming gets around 14750 which seems a bit fishy. you should be blowing me completely out of the water on single card. Unless the 980 Ti doesn't scale perfectly atm because drivers.

I'll run the test with one gpu and report back. This is very odd. People online complain about this.

Mate what voltage would you say is safe for a 970 with a full cover ekblock? and is voltage linked to max power? at 1.3 I can't get my cards to go above about 250W even though I have set it in the bios to 325W

1.3v? 1.3v is safe on air, check my 970 Owners club if you need information about the power limits and voltage controllers on these cards and Maxwell in common.

Thanks. I have read all the posts on your club thread. Have you done any bios' for cards under water? My cards only have 2 6-pin connectors though

I just ran a test on non-overclocked and got a graphics score of 14577. I ran it again, overclocked by 250MHz core/400MHz memory and got 18752.

@ Is that the X5450/ 970 G1 Gaming Rig?

Yep, and it looks a hell of a lot better than my P5Q Deluxe/H87M-Pro rigs. Though it still doesn't compare to my Dual Pentium III Rig/Ultimate Legacy Rig (ULR).

Ignore the "Graphics driver is not approved"  I am using 353.38 Hotfix drivers.  My graphics score is at 41209.  You should be somewhat close to that and not 11,000 off.  Something is definitely up.

I think I'm still running on the older driver. When I get back home today I'll post the updated results. There is a problem somewhere here and it's definitely not my CPU.

From what I have seen, you physics score is fine.  You GPU score on the other hand is something I would be concerned about.
