  1. Case requirements Double bay res (2x 5.25" drive bays) 360mm radiator Budget- £100 or less Hi I am donating my old pc to my wife who needs an upgrade from her ancient laptop. I currently use a HAF X with a double bay EKD5 res and a top mounted 360mm rad. She hates the case obviously and I want to get something 'minimalist' but struggling to find something that can support both requirements for £100 or less. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
  2. it was the new cable, ordered another from different seller, thanks
  3. swapped the gpu's and can confirm both are working, its a new cable for the card that isnt working
  4. they are in the correct slots, its my original card that is refusing to enable so I know both cards work, Is it possible its the slot?
  5. Hi system specs are in my signature, I installed a 2nd gtx1080 into my system but windows is disabling it "device is not working properly error code 43" It is physically installed correctly and I have removed my drivers. Any help would be appreciated
  6. my main concern is with the 850W PSU
  7. cpu upgrade? It’s never bottlenecked at 4k for me. Only time it holds me back at all is in apex where I max out at 150fps.. perhaps if I was playing more games at 1080p or 1440p at greater than 60fps it would be a good choice. Besides the only thing I can upgrade to is an i7 4770k with the 1150 socket as far as I know
  8. Hi, wasn’t sure where to post this but planning seemed appropriate. my current rig spec is my signature but the punchline is I will be running an i-5 4690k, 2x reference gtx 1080s in sli, 16GB ram and 1x ss drive off a Corsair RM850W PSU. I will have a d5 pump, an h80i and 3 120mm fans running as well. online calculators say I will be consuming 727w but in the back of my mind I thought I read somewhere that you can only run you psu at about 80% of its rated Wattage. So I am asking if I will have to buy a bigger PSU. I decided to sli as apposed to waiting
  9. Hi guys looking for some solutions to an issue I am having with my tv-pc set up My PC specs are in my sig but the bottom lines are i5 4690K, gtx1080, hdmi 2.1 cable and all latest windows 10 and nvidia drivers. I am attempting to enable HDR YCBR444 10 or 12bit with my tv. My tv can do these settings when the input tag on the tv is set to 'pc' as all reviews and other owners confirm 100% however when I attempt to set these settings the best I can get is YCBR 422 10-bit (output range Limited) in nvidia control panel Toggling 'enable HDR content' in
  10. I have been running games at 4k natively on my 1080 paired with an old i5 4690k for nearly two years. You can comfortably play AAA titles like tomb raider and ac odyssey @ ultra settings staying above 30fps and 50fps at high settings. If you want 60fps at 4k in any game you definitely need something a bit beefier. I also have 144hz 1080p monitor for FPS games and with settings at medium stay above 120fps in apex but that is entirely cpu bound. Hope this helps
  11. think it looks awesome by the way, the design aesthetic matches the purpose and performance of the card than previous FE 10 series that just looked cheap imho
  12. It may have been due to the old HDMI 18Gbps cable being 10m long and my wanting to saturate 17.8Gbps of its bandwidth that it just wasn't having any of it. there would be little flashing red dots not bigger than one pixel all over the screen if you are standing 30cm away from it, Shame if I have waisted money on the 27Gbps but still enjoying the gaming experience none the less.
  13. There are only 6 workstations, one server, 2 NAS, 1 printer connected via ethernet and 10 workstations on wifi, I would love to get a professional in and will do down the road a bit as we are expanding and will soon have 40+ on the network however we are currently working on a business continuity project to bridge the gap before we move to a new physical site 6-12 months from now and my piece was to get our 2 CAD/CAM guys using a NAS thats backed up to the cloud, thing is I can't get this to work, my guess was the managed switch didn't like the unmanaged switch having 4 connections.
  14. ROUTER>24 Port managed switch>one connection to R+D> 5 port unmanaged switch> 2x workstations, 1x NAS
