LTT 3DMark Thread

I'm #33 on the 3dmark fs HOF with 2 gpus. If I had a 5960X I could easily be in the top 20

Give me a week and I'll be number 1 on the forum :)

Not for long though then ;). The Titan is around the corner and even with 4 GTX980s (if that´s still your plan) you won´t be able to beat me with the 3 Titans and my 5960X ;).

Your score for 2 cards is very good though something is odd... and it´s not just the CPU. I assume the 2nd card doesn´t go that high otherwise you would be already within the Top20.

Intel i7 7820X (delidded) @ 4.9GHz - MSI X299 M7 ACK + EKWB Fullcover Block - G.Skill Trident Z 32GB @ 3466MHz - nVidia Titan Xp + EKWB Fullcover Block @ 2.1GHz - Samsung 960Pro 2x - WDD Blue 2TB - Seasonic 750W Platinum - modded Corsair 600C - Hardtubed Custom Watercooling

Actually I like it that we have some enthusiasts here! A good battle and healthy competition is necessary to keep a person willing to push harder. I don´t think the Titan II will cost 1400 USD but if it does... so be it :).

...pushed harder BTW:

That rocks!! I am thinking about building a HTPC with my 5930K now lol. Or I´ll sell it really cheap, but I´m so happy with the 5960X :).

I can´t wait to see how that system of yours will perform. Hopefully you make it in the top ten in your bracket with 4 cards then! As soon as I can get my hands on the new Titans I will put back on my monster radiator. It´s so much better for highend benchmarking and of course noise reduction... this 3way blower gets annoying ;) .

BTW I tried to do a bench at 1.4v on my 770's and my PSU was overloaded. I guess its not a big bad PSU anymore.

TDP is set to 500W for my 770's atm to prevent any throttling.

Edit: CPU is drawing 215W from what AI Suit is telling me when its at full flex at 4.7GHz

Yeah that are true words! It´s nice to be here the top dog in the LTT forums but this thread is my hobby and I like keeping statistics and sheets :) . But my passion is OverClocking and my goal is to be in the top 10 of the 3D Mark HoF within my certain bracket. I mean being one of the best OCer in the world is quite an enjoyable feeling ;) . I found the 3way to be the bracket I like best.

ALL OF TESTING! Well looks like I have a reason to run Windows 10 after all. This should be good.

I haven´t looked into Windows10 yet. I´m still tweaking my 980s BIOS, I need to find out what the max Voltage is on those ref PCBs. But the Maxwell BIOS tweaking software is not my favorite utility to work with.

I would probaly say 1.4v would be the max but I'll look into the max voltage for you over on OCN.

I´ll give it a shot with 1.33V in the first place. Raised up PT,TDP and Boost Table by a lot... not sure if the cards can withstand that, but if the risk is little the reward is little.

Just a bit above 1.6v is the VRM limit for voltage on the refrence PCB's
