As stated, Xbox never did well in Japan, but holy balls this is unpoplar.

PC gaming has never really being popular in japan either... That said, it is growing thanks to an amazing indie developers in Japan.

One thing that IS still popular is arcades. They never died in Japan and are still going strong. Heck many " indie arcade machines " there are just custom PCs...

Japanese are more into JRPG and those native indie games, which are only supported in PS and PSV. 

You would not see Japanese play western game anyway.
