^just got it and I'm about to see how it is.

 

Eric S. Raymond used an E6600 from 2005 until 12/30/14 or open source software creation. Raw data computations in excess of 18GB each. Core 2 Duos still have tons of life left, my friend.

I have both 64-bit Chrome & Chrome Canary

 

Google with new 64bit update: With just 2 tabs open, one on Google, the other LTT. It used ~0.3% of my cpu, but it's a little eratic, spiked up to 15% loading various pages, 128mb ram usage
 
Canary: Same as above: 2 tabs, 1 for google, other for LTT. ~0.03% cpu usage idle, spikes up to 11% loading pages. 97mb ram usage.
 
Have multiple extensions running, main ones are Adblock Plus, Ghostery & Proxymate for both browsers.
 
 
Canary is still slightly unstable in certain areas, but it works well enough for me. Although 64bit Chrome is nice.
