As far as I am aware if you unlock it, then the game speeds up haha

 

I have a beta key actually I might try it

The FPS lock is in a file called something along the line of 'pc_scalability'

Wait? So it's capped at 30 fps too? Didn't they learn anything about EA's screw up with NFS Rivals (or what title was it)?

 

Ubisoft seems to like copying EA a lot at whatever they're doing...

In the settings there's a FPS slider but it's locked so they might have it at 60 for release

It doesn't seem to affect the game at all when you change the cap to 60 FPS. Good luck getting it to run at 60 FPS though.

The beta is terrible, cars handle like they do in arcade-style games and no matter how big or small your car is it will plough through any fence or barrier. Plus my FPS drops to like 17FPS on ultra using an R9 280X. I even recorded a GPU activity log in GPU-Z while playing the game which said my load was at 60 percent and VRAM usage didn't even hit 200MB. Weird.

Ubisoft better fix this for the official release.

I love the game. I don't care about the FPS lock, it's probably the most my GT610 can handle.
