Thinking about start watching it. Does it have a story? or can i just start where i want?

It's a love it or hate it show and I hate it. It's so stupid, repetitive and 99.9% of the time not even funny.

Rick and Morty is way, way better.
There's no story behind Family Guy and some of the humor is more...stupid.

I think it's fine if you're in to that kind of humor, but it's somewhat rare for things to actually be funny.

Don't watch any Family Guy episodes made after 2008 and you'll be fine. But honestly, I really like earlier seasons of Family Guy. Especially the one where Peter and Lois manage to steal a copy of Passion of the Christ II.

I cannot even understand the humor behind Family Guy, but to each his own.

 

And, strictly speaking, it does have a storyline, but the chronology is out of place. 

 

You will not miss much for starting now.

It's really dumb, I love it then I hate it. The anti-semitic, racist, and other terrible jokes make me think the show is for immature frat boys and racists.

Most Family Guys are separate from any other episode, but there is the occasional one that has a to be continued line at the end and picks up in another episode.

 

You can start anywhere you'd like and get the most out of it.

I found it really funny, but that was like 5 years ago, and it's just not my kind of humour any more.
