Do I have to spend a lot for good earbuds?

Jedicake

I'm starting to feel guilty of taking the college library's earbuds every month or two cause they're so poorly made.

Any recommendations from the good ole people of Linus Tech Tips of pretty darn good earbuds?

Apple earpods aren't that great, try something like http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Precision-Enhanced-Earbuds-Black/dp/B001EZYMF4/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_15_JQNV?ie=UTF8&refRID=14G5XYJAN8MHEMJF6QFA

Title: No, because expensive earbuds like Beats doesn't mean that they sound the best.

Klipsch Image S4a/S4i (A for Android devices, i for iPhone/iPod) are probably the best earbuds for the money

The Sennheiser CX line is probably the best for the quality to price.

That thing kept going through three cycles in the washing machine and drier for like half a year later.

I wouldn't invest in too expensive earbuds, they're not like headphones, if you're mobile with them they do tend to break after a while.

Ah, you amuse me.

For I do not recommend products because of the company behind them, but for actually what they are. I am not a big fan of Apple. I find that the iPhone of which I use is too slow for my personal needs, and the screen is too fucking small.

I recommended the EarPods based upon what I and others think of them. I personally think they sound pretty good, and when I asked a member of the forums that frequents this subforum about budget earbuds, I had to stop him from saying EarPods.

To say I posted a PR Press Release for Apple is a childish excuse used to shy away from my statement. You just don't want to accept that someone has a differing opinion. Say, have you actually legitimately tried them?

Audio is a personal opinion. Some people like HD 558s, others like DT 990s. Some like Beats, others like ATH-M50s.

What I wrote initially was not a fact. With audio quality, there can be very few facts. Some people like their music with a lot of bass, others with focus on the mids, and others like their music balanced. I personally like my music bass heavy.

I said what I thought of a product, as OP asked for help on the subject. I actually tried to help him. The difference is that you seem to have come here to criticize what others think. You didn't even give a suggestion to OP.

Childish? As opposed to the person who writes a large rant because someone didn't agree with them? Please, you could've just said "You know what? I think they are good".

Soundmagic E10 and JBL J33 would be my picks. The Sennheisers have bad cables unfortunately. Although the Soundmagic cable isn't anything special either but it sounds good so w/e.

I love the NuForce NE-600X I got from Massdrop's recent sale of them. I think I might like them more than the IE60's I used to own.

if you want something a little more robust but don't want to spend anything then i'd look at the senns mx271.

I disagree. I have small ear-canals so IEM's don't fit in my ears and the ones that do are very uncomfortable. They do sound miles better from the older earbuds and for $30, they're an insane value.

Other than that the go to IEM's for $100 and under are shure SE215's. I bought them for the lady friend and she likes them so take that for what it's worth.
