In that timezone most of my favourite games were created. Here we go:

SOCOM I: 2002 (PS2)

SOCOM II: 2003 (PS2)

Multiplayer was great on these, singleplayer was also fun with the voice commands and other little gimmicks.

Monster Hunter (PS2) 2004

Loved the multiplayer, one of my all time favorites.

Freelancer 2003

Probably all time favorite game, the modders made it even better.

Splinter Cell, Half Life 2, Halo

And so many more I can't think of atm. This was basically my youth :P

Edit: Had to cut out RTS' and MMO's ^-^

It is said, that civilised man seeks out good and intelligent company, so that through learned discourse he may rise above the savage and closer to God. Personally, however, I like to start the day with a total dickhead to remind me I'm best!

Syberia is pretty good all in all, but I find the mechanics pretty frustrating...

If you go into peasant mode, MGS 2 and 3 are brilliant and the only reasons I ever had for getting play stations

Edit:

For PC, these are my picks

Deus Ex

Max Payne is worth a play through

Splinter Cell is a old time fav of mine, hailed as competition to MGS at its launch, it's nowhere close, but still pretty good.

Far Cry, an absolute classic. Beautiful graphics still to this day

and finally

Hitman... Of which Blood Money probably is the best, and has mechanics that are pretty modern. The most playable of the lot

Could you tell me, what's up with FF XII and FF X-2? Are they completely different games?

Halo, SSX Tricky, Halo 2, Half Life 2, Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike Source.

What do they know of England, who only England know?
