Seemed pretty obvious that razer would do this, since they dont use cherry...

Honestly im glad to see someone who knows how to make amazing backlights do this :D

After my blackwidow committed suicide 4 months in, I have decided I'm done with razer in general. I've had their naga for 2.5 years. See no reason to get a new mouse. But their build quality is terrible and I will not be buying another product of theirs as I have said like 5 times in this post.

Forum is very slow, yeah.

And I wonder how Corsair feels about this, and worse, seeing it happen after they delayed theirs. I guess the old saying is true: you snooze, you see razer release a similar product to yours.

ps: $5 says an RGB DeathAdder is next.

Honestly i have to say that Razer makes backlights better than Corsair.

I guess its because of the green plate behind the keys.

Yeah, I've noticed their green is very intense but we'll have to see if that transfers when trying to cover every color.

And... It's $179 -_-

That's $179 I know three of my friends are going to spend... Ugh, I hate Razer and don't like the Blackwidow, even the 2013 edition with Blues felt like a cheap rip off.

Why?

The thing is more difficult to clean than a PS3 and attracts more fingerprints than glass. The keyboard only has the main parts of the keys lit, not any other functions.

Razer Synapse has to be restarted every single time I turn on my computer and the keyboard has to be unplugged or it will register constant enter key presses.

And for $140 I could have got something better than a big plastic box.

Wow I always thought of the Blackwidow Ultimate to be a premium product... Is it really that bad?

K70 RGB > Chroma.

Reasons:
1. Cherry Switches
2. LEDS harder to die from ESD (or... problem virtually eliminated)

3. Aluminium finish > Matte plastic (Subjective)

OP, you might want to update the post to include the DeathAdder and Kraken (from link in my previous post).

K70 RGB is a really shaky product right now.

On one hand, imo Corsair made a worthy effort with K70 but failed with the LED.

So many people reported dying LED so soon.

And when you spend close to $60-$70 more on a product that is just for LEDs....

Corsair has learned from past mistakes and they do listen to feedback so it might be fixed.

Razer has really bad build quality issues.

The fact that a relatively large fraction of deathadders/other mice/other keyboards break causes concern for me.

Even a post above said that it sucked.

K70 only had major LED issues not build quality.

When you drop close to $180 on a keyboard, I would expect it to last a LONG time.

And honestly, I don't get what the hype is about these RGB keyboards.

Lets be honest, we are probably going to set it to one/two colors max three and it wont make much of a difference than a solid color.

All the mainstream and somewhat rare colors are covered anyway.

I don't see many orange builds (sadly) and they do make orange backlit keyboards. (Ducky)

Those funky features like Wave, Reactive+Ripple are all a joke/for show.

When you are in day to day use, that will only distract you.

Plus I think it will give some people seizures especially wave.

Unless you are an OCD color matcher, or are going after a pink color matched build, there is no legitimate need for these products
