let's just hope it's a legit adaptation to linux and not just a Wine Wrapper on the Windows version of the game

Sweet :) Now all I will have to do is buy it and test it in comparison to Windows. Hopefully Elementary OS Freya will be out in time!

I'd be interested to see performance comparisons with the Windows version.

hahahaha, sorry I'm not making fun I just thought it is Bethesda your referring to here... (I'm just teasing them so they'll get their asses in gear)

I just hope they add DX12/Mantle/OpenGL(one of the three would suffice which in turn could mean Linux supp.) support which they won't because they're obnoxious.

There was that thing a while ago where someone got DX9 or something to work natively in Linux. If they could get DX10,11 and then 12 to work in Linux natively we should be able to play any Windows game.

Is it unreal 3 or 4?

borderlands uses a modded unreal 3 engine, since the first one, they are using the same build as 2 for this one

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

I just hope Fallout 4 and the next Elder Scrolls game gets a Linux version.

Next Elder Scrolls will probably be an abomination of Elder Scrolls online and Watch_Dogs.

I'm scared.

I hope not and I doubt it. Watch Dog's probably wasn't a success.

Nice seeing someone develop a game exclusively for Linux. I am not a Linux-user myself, but It's nice to see a big developer contribute to a smaller OS.

It feels as though no games ever leave the BETA stage anymore, until about 3 years after it officially releases. - Shd0w2 2014

There's a new Elder Scrolls game? I thought they were done with it after the MMO.

It would be awkward for them to call it off after spending hundreds of millions of dollars.

Not announced but it's obviously in the works just like Fallout 4 is in the works.
