Your PC Must Be This Advanced To Run Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Victorious Secret

Alot of games from the last two years are 25+ gb big. it's really not that uncommon for them going to 40gb but yeah....

It's not the size, it's that to take up 40GB of space, it sure as hell isn't going to an overhyped so-so FPS series. I'd rather use that space for just about everything else.

Well i don't even like fps games but my old computer from 2007 can't play this, it barely runs gta 4.

wasn't gta 4 a really bad port for pc when maxed  out at 1080p i get like 35-40 fps on a gtx 660 i5 4690k and imo looks like crap

gta 4 was poorly optimized for pc, i was only getting 20 fps or less on lowest settings. I had a 64 x2 3800+, 2gb ddr2 ram, hd 5450 512mb( i had to upgrade my gpu to a hd 5450 play it), and a320gb hdd.

I'd use my space on more world of warcraft mods.

u know why it recommends a 4GB card??? they are gonna put insane texture resolution. It wont tax the card much, but it'll just eat memory for breakfast.

I usually am the person telling people not to assume when they say a game is not optimized with zero proof, or just because it happens to be a graphically demanding game. Not everything can or should run on a potato. But those min and recommended specs don't make sense. It will run on a Core2Duo and a GTS 450, but needs 6GB of RAM?? It's also pretty bad that they hyped the hell out of how much better this game is supposed to look, but I don't see how that's possible when it has the same min and recommended specs as Ghosts. A game they reused frame for frame elements for MW:2.

They don't have those for console...and I played Counterstrike when I was a kid. I've moved on.

Hah, I agree it's sad, but...most people should have 8gb of RAM by now if you game anyways  ;)

Yeah, but not people rocking a Core2Duo and a GTS 450 that they recommend for min specs. They probably won't even have 6GB of RAM since on a system like that they are more than likely still using XP.

CoD is crap, and you should be ashamed for even considering purchasing

now THAT is a broad generalization. id say a good 70% of the CoDs are good.

Yeah if you just keep piling shit on top of the Quake 3 engine it's not surprising that the damn thing is already collapsing, bloated and not optimized at all. I mean we love Carmack but even he can only do so much it's been fucking 15 years

People with older systems with ddr2 can't really upgrade without changing your whole system. 8gb of ddr2 is like 150 bucks..... hell i would be on 4gb of ddr3 right now if i didn't get my cpu and mb so damn cheap.

People on systems that old are few and far between. Hell my dad doesn't even use hardware that old.

Mind you he JUST upgraded a few months ago to DDR3.

DDR2 isn't that expensive. Just buy it used. It's peanuts. Only a fool would buy it new.

But as I already pointed out, people with systems using old hardware like that more than likely are not running an operating system that can actually use that much RAM. If you have a Core2Duo, and/or DDR2 RAM, it's unlikely that you have a 64-bit OS. Not impossible, but very unlikely. That kind of hardware would struggle just to run the OS.

Really? We're going there?

COD fits a demographic quite well. Its one of the few FPSs that is truly pick up and play. Anyone and anything can do it. It serves its place. Are we now mocking people based on what they chose to buy? and what they genuinely like? Hell, COD is one of the few games my dad doesn't have trouble playing, should I go tell him he should be ashamed for that choice in what he likes to play?

Can I mock you for buying a 4GB version of a low end card? How the hell does that make sense? You should feel ashamed.

Oh wait, that makes me sound like a pompous ass, doesn't it? So maybe keep your rhetoric in check next time.

Hivemind is a strong force

How are people making fun of the faces? Sure they're not godly, but their better than other games people applaud. Like the Witcher 2.

The most funny part is the 40gb hdd, 15gb game 25gb DLC day one that awaits activation after they supposedly develop it in time.

this is worse than Watch_Dog's recommended specs.

I'll just get it on my Game Boy Advance instead

Euro Truck Simulator hogs more FPS than Watch_Dogs, and its minimum is less.

okay, do they think we have forgotten ghost? "6gb ram needed", unstabble as balls and only used 2gb ram MAXIMUM. this is a fucking joke, kiss my ass, i didnt buy ghost, nor am i going to buy this one.

but ofc, millions will buy them and they wont change a damn thing.

hold on, you can play with a 450 gpu minimum, but u need 6gb of ram? wtf is this. does the 450 even support dx11?

I think they made a mistake though because when I visit the specs-list on Advanced Warfare it just says:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit

DirectX: 11

Nothing more.

144Hz goodness

erhm, "new" engine looks a lot like the old one in terms of specs... Well, when something's succesful, why not suck every penny out of it

Seems like this game is more optimized for nvidia. The minimum requirement is a gts450 or a 5870; the 5870 is worlds faster than the 450 O.o
