What would happen if you used tooth paste instead of thermal compound

I'm not considering doing this but it went through my mind when I realized I need new thermal compound

But what kind of toothpaste? That's like putting all the thermal pastes into one measurement and just writing 'thermal paste'.

 

I want to know if I'm dealing with Arm and Hammer, or Colgate, or Aquafresh or indeed any other brand.

I am really afraid of poop don't ask me why. If there were thermal compound however that smelled like a skunk and kept my CPU at -20c I would defs buy it

I still see that no one has used any JB weld at all. tisk tisk.

 

It would be absolutely permanent, but I think if applied correctly (mixed, formed into a small square of even thickness) it would work pretty damned good.

 

Edit: It might work well for delidding your cpu as well? since it's grip IS completely and totally permanent.

What would happen if you used solder or like melted copper or something? Would that work better than thermal paste? That's something I mist experiment with
