Root almost any Android in 30 seconds using TowelRoot by geohot

neither I nor Linustechtips.com will be held responsible if anything goes wrong. this will void warranty on some phones and may be prohibited in some regions. this may have a small chance of damaging certain phones so make sure your phone is compatible.

 

Since geohot moved from the iOS scene and PS3 scene on to Android, rooting has got a LOT easier.

 

If you aren't sure if your Android device is compatible, a quick Google search will tell you. most Androids on KitKat will work

 

All you have to do is

 

1. make sure Unknown Sources are enabled in your security settings

2. go to Towelroot.com on your phone and read the warnings. then click the big lambda logo

3. save the APK and install it

4. launch the app and press the "make it ra1n" button

5. your phone will now be rooted. go to the google play store and install SuperSU

6. launch SuperSU and let it update whatever it needs to update

7. reboot and you're done!

BTW just going to say that it doesn't have support for ALL devices.

you might be correct afaik this is fixed in latest 4.4.4 releases.

yeah, that explains why I tried to do it on my moto g and it didn't work :c

regardless, it still doesn't support all devices.

a quick google search told me it wasn't fixed, but certain manufacturers may have fixed it in their own patches
