Borderlands 2 is one of the worst games I've played this year.

That's like, IMPOSSIBLE. I've played both, and I'd say Borderlands 2 was the better version of 1. It's well balanced.

I remember that first boss you encounter in 1, that was too much, can't kill him without leveling up a couple of notches. Good thing Borderlands 2 fixed the imba bosses.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

The only way I managed to beat Flynn(?) was by dying and then using a bug where you could sit on a raised platform but the boss fight was still activated, so you could take a couple pot shots then take a few steps back to regain your health. It was literally the only way I managed to beat that boss, so for you to specifically point out the detail about bosses when I had a bad experience with what is the second boss fight, then it doesn't lend well to your argument. Even the first boss, the two brothers or whatever, were a pain to deal with. Infinitely spawning enemies, constant barrage of screen shaking explosions, annoying noises and then straight after is a turret section.

Vehicle controls are horrible, enemies spawning only when you near them makes the game a chore if you choose to be a sniper, the companion Claptrap is absolutely annoying and the weird girl who sometimes contacts you and is entirely unexplained as far as I knew for the first few hours of the game at least seems like a poor attempt at a Cortana character.

The only genuine thing I liked about the game is the Handsome Jack character, voice acting was great, characterization is superb. When the only thing decent about your game is the villain and nothing else, you have a serious problem.

I suppose these days, FPS games just have very low standards if it's "IMPOSSIBLE" to believe the game to be horrible, I mean, just look at all the other FPS titles and you'll see the bar is set very, very low.

Wow, I didn't even know about those pot shot things. But you really had to level up if you want to take him head on, which is what I did.

The two brothers were awesome yo, sure it was hard a bit and I kept dying but I eventually figured it out, you had to deal with the little one first then big brother comes to the rescue, you can also ride the turret he was using against the horde afterwards.

From what you posted, I think you didn't finish the game, right? Its definitely worth a try, and you'll later find out that Angel isn't a Cortana figure but she actually plays a heartbreaking role (:() - and I'm not really into Halo, I have played Halo 1 though. And yes, Claptrap really IS annoying, he's probably the most irritating character in the game. If you finished it, then I probably mistook your comment  :)

Maybe Borderlands 2 isn't that great for you but its better than the new CODs and BFs for me. I've played a lot of shooters, each game has it's own feel. But I'm curious as to what you think are the grade A FPS games? Would you consider Quake III and IV good ones?

I don't know how excited I am for the presequel honestly. I loved borderlands 2, amazing game, but the new one is not developed by gearbox :(
I'll probably pick it up on sale though.
