Let's also not forget that people who are strongly anti something tend to be hypocrites who are into the subject they preach about with vigor privately.

I also agree that in America we are far too reserved when it comes to sex.

I could list the other natural processes that humanity has forsaken because we believe ourselves to be "above" them and see the harm in them, but I feel like it'd be lost on you.

I'm not saying we should forsake sex as that'd obviously mean no more humans in 100 years or so, but I believe we focus on or allow it far too much for the sake of enjoyment itself. People learn all about it through media but are almost never taught the responsibility required of a person who does such things. 

Obviously this is idealistic rambling, but I believe it's right and it being idealistic doesn't change that imo. 

This is one reason I have not been proud of the race that I am (race, as in, literal race, i.e. human.) So what if we can go to the moon, simulate entire worlds, or harvest the sun for energy if we can't do the simple things like actually taking care of everyone like we should be able to? 

 

I'm not too sure where you're going with that but it kinda sounds like you're saying sex is something that should be saved for marriage.

For those of you who don't know what Lucky Star is, it's a comedy/slice of life anime. It's worth a watch IMO.

I didn't say that. 

I said it should be something people know how to responsibly do. i.e. don't make children they can't take care of, don't emotionally abuse people by making them think someone else loves them when that someone just wants sex, etc. Things like that. Things that should be understood before people should be allowed to do it. 

It's precious in a lot of ways and should be treated that way imo. Not abused for the sake of self-satisfaction.

Personally I don't find extra-martial relationships acceptable. That doesn't mean I'll punch you in the face for doing it. That means I won't do it and I won't ever advocate for it. How is this view point invalid?

That anime wasn't bearable for me either. If the main female character didn't have red hair I wouldn't have even started it honestly.

Yes it should happen when it wants to happen there's no need for a chapter marker in a relationship that says "ok you two can go at it now!"

Not everyone in American is a prude, though. Upon a friend's recommendation, I've been watching the anime Oreimo and it's probably a perfect example of an anime that isn't explicit, but will make hardcore conservative Americans flip out over the content.

Granted, I can't speak for season 2 as I've only finished season 1.

 

 

 

Plot Summary: Living on the shadow of his prodigious younger sister, Kyousuke Kosaka conducts a normal lifestyle until he accidentally finds out that she hides a secret. Well i guess I couldn't complain too much, I once read a manga that these female mages had sex with one another to seal in the power that they've gained and recover from their fatigue.

I avoided putting the Youtube link because the thumbnail is the disturbing part, so I avoided it like the plague.

It's related because it's a metaphor for how the world is becoming in relation to how we treat sex in general. Like it's not a big deal to have it on display in every facet of civilization. 

Some people won't understand why that's disturbing. Others will.

This isn't really anime, but it's extremely similar, however the content is not an anime trope, it's actually psychedelia and surrealism.

It has been stated that it is up to the viewer. It certainly makes sense that he would have/why he would have lived, if the geass in his other eye is really a code obtained from his father. I choose to go with him dying. It seems like a better, more impactful, ending to me. If the answer to that changed with Akito then I clueless to it. I chose to not watch Akito because I felt very content with R1 and R2 as a whole.
