2 295X2's will be more powerful. A single 295X2 can beat two 780Ti's in SLI so 2 of them will be even better.

Going to need one hell of a PSU to use the 2 of 295x2's, under load they hit around 1400 watts in TTL's video

Prepare your PSU for 295x2!

Might want to look at EVGAs new 1600W unit to keep the efficiency up while sucking up the 2x500W draws I hear those can muster.

I was looking  at that PSU. I like the EVGA supernova 1600g2 and the ax1500i but can't decide which is a better choice.

So should I get 2 295x2's or 3 780ti's? I will be playing at 7680x1440.

For that resolution you should look into 3x Titan Blacks, will be as much as 295x2, perform close if not better do to Vram limitations at that resolution (4 way CF doesn't scale that well anyway) and if you REALLY want to in the future you can add a 4th Titan Black,

if youre gaming at 1440 a single 295x will be enough, or just get 2 rg290`s much cheaper.

for gaming more then 2 gpu cores wont do anything for performance, but will land you more trouble then you asked for.

but if you just want braging rights, just get 2 titans. that impresses the girls more lolz.. doesnt make a difference at 1440p anyhow.

So much bs in one post. Have you even read the OP?

Dual 295x2 will penetrate 3x 780ti but will also cost more.

I'd go with tri 290/x tho and put them in a "small" custom loop or get high quality sapphire cards.

no bullshit here. scaling beyond 2 gpus is just not worth it.

i would stick to 2 r9 290 cards, or 2 titans if you want to use this setup for a long time. the 6 gigs of ram will be helpfull in the future.

for gaming more then 2 gpu`s is just stupid, it will give you more trouble for little return.

in my opinion you should get 2 290`s, and just upgrade them in a year or so and sell the 290 cards, that way you will get the most out of your rig.

why spend thousands on someting that wont help performance right now.. two 290`s or 780`s is more then sufficient for now.

Will do

you should get 4 290x then do a custom water cool loop with bocks for each one. In Aus the 295x is like $1750 each so two of them would cost $3500 and a single reference 290x would cost $500 so it would total out at $2000, much cheaper than 2 295x. By going with 4 290x you would save alot compared to two 295x then you would have enough to do a full custom loop, it would look insane.

Scaling on a 4-way gpu setup sucks if i'm not mistaken.

Get a 295x2 and a non-reference 290x. Should work well enough for surround 1440p. Heck, Linus did an Ncix video where he ran surround 1440p through just a single 295x2, so that should be good enough.

At that resolution, get the R9 295X2, you will need all the VRAM and ROPs as possible. Plus eyefinity is superior to nvidia surround.
