If i had taken pictures of most the s**t i saw when i was working with excavation.. I'd be able to fill this thread right up.
Gimme a sec to find a favourite from my pictures folder

Edit:.. The folder i was looking for seems to have been deleted.. Damn it :/

Edit 2: I'll at least contribute something that i found.

This is technically safe. But poo would be coming out nonetheless

Those are data lines, phone, cable TV, etc, not power lines. Yes he should be using a fiberglass ladder, but it's not as dangerous as some people are assuming. Also, the weight of the ladder is supported by the building that it's resting against.

Including the current....running through that clearly metallic ladder....

They are covered in thick rubber insulators that should prevent any current from going to the ladder. Also it is common practice to disable power in that area if there is work being done on a cable.
