Suggestions for college laptop...

I am looking into a new laptop for college. Ultrabook preferred, a bit of horsepower for gaming every so often, 14 inches, and at least a 1080p res.

Any suggestions?

I actually prefer the N550JK for the plain look instead of the overused black/red. 

My personal rig - 4790k 4.8Ghz, Asus Z97 Pro (wi-fi ac), Corsair Dominator Plat 4x8GB, SLI GTX 1080 TI FE, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, Crucial MX100 512GB, EVGA G3 1000W, and cooled by a hardline liquid cooling loop.

What do you all think of last years Razer Blade 14?  It's "only" selling for $1,599.  How impossible would it for me to get used to the 1600x900 res?

If you're willing to spend that much, you should probably just get a MSI GS70 or a Gigabyte P34G v2
