Who's your tech idol?

Just general discussion, who's your tech idol and why?

 

So I'll get the ball rolling, mine is probably Steve Jobs and before I get any hate or sarcy comments, i'm not an Apple fan boy and I know the guy was bit of an ass. But the reason being his devotion. He was always devoted to creating a unique and great experience, I mean this guy lead the teams that changed so much, no necessarily 'pioneering' as he likes to say, but genuinely making a difference in technology. His dedication to this was extreme and he was proud of it, he didn't give a s**t about what anyone else thought (Both good & bad) he just done what he felt was right and pushed it, it obviously worked, very, very well. But hey that's my opinion, who's your tech idol?

I honestly can't think of one, other than GabeN or Linus. I'm not really one for Idolizing people.

For whatever reason, I can only think of Codemonkeys portrayal of The Woz, and thank you for not including Jobs

This man is a hero. He thinks it and does it. He helps the disabled get around, or play games even with special hardware. Most importantly, even a hot pocket slider for his 360 controller and a peltier device to cool a beer in less than 15 minutes.
