Your body releases certain substances into your brain in reward for something, could be anything that's basic for survival (eating, fucking, drinking water, etc) or things that appear more complex but really aren't (money, jobs, relationships all this things just amount to tranquility due to security and support)

I genuinely believe that happiness is just a mood and not a 'destination.' I read or heard that somewhere and it's stuck with me for a while. Trying to make yourself happy is counterproductive in my mind. Some days I wake up happy, some days not so much. Maybe a weird way to look at life but eh

There is a Danish word that describe happiness pretty well, "hygge" It's this kind of a cosy really good happy time alone or with the people you love, but there's more to this than good times. It has a very special family and close friend aura that makes me really comfortable and happy. Also experiencing something new and doing something exiting like traveling makes me happy too :)

 

Really nice music also makes me extremely happy
