You need to determine whether you have a first, second, or third degree burn.

http://www.mayoclinic.org/first-aid/first-aid-burns/basics/art-20056649

Read all of that and it will tell you the appropriate first aid steps as well as whether you should call 911.

Luke warm tap not cold,

Aloe Vera.

Cold water sends the skin into shock and actually causes more pain, whereas tepid (or room temperature) water actually helps alot more. Or at least it did with my sun burns on the back of my neck, my ears, and my arms. Couldn't get the pain to stop, my mom said fill the bath with room temp or slightly lower temp water and sit in it for 15 minutes. Didn't fix it instantly but it did help.

DO NOT USE COLD WATER

You will just cause more pain when you remove the burn from the water. Use Tepid water instead to relax the nerves and allow them to turn off. Cold water will create more stimulus to the damaged nerves, and as a result cause pain and burning when you remove it from the water.

Just my two cents.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
