What defines a "fanboy"?

As the title says, what do you define as being a "fanboy"? and what do you think provokes them to have such a biased view?

 

EDIT: Forgot to add this. Mine: Someone that shows biased support for one manufacturer or company, while constantly shaming another or talking rubbish about another manufacturer.

Irrational support arguments/apologist behaviour toward a particular product or manufacturer/entity.

 

What causes it? Normally ownership of said product and feeling the need to justify said ownership.

A fan boy is someone who blindly supports a certain brand constantly claiming they're the best even when this is untrue.

Someone unwilling to change their opinion about a product or company even with evidence that stacks against what they believe. Or in general someone who feels the need to defend a product or company for some unexplained emotional bond they have with it.

To me a fanboy is a person that prefers a company's products over another competitor even though the competitor can be better. Personally I am a Corsair Fan Boy.

Liking a certain brand, and specifically pushing a single product that you do not own as "the best value" makes you both a fanboy, and automatic marketing troll
