People with the stock Core i5 cooler...

How bad is it? I'll be getting one soon and I would like to knpow how bad it actually is. I don't know how long it will be before I could actually get some kind of aftermarket cooling for it, so I'll have to roll with stock for a while.

I've used it before. It's meh. Doesn't cool too well. Fairly loud. Not unbearable. Perfectly usable.

I have a stock cooler on my i3 and when gaming currently nudges 60 degrees and was hitting almost 67 degrees while folding until I removed it from the client.

its perfectly fine if your not overclocking, get a H100i if you want to overclock, i have one its good.

I'll have to get an H80i, since I don't think one of those will fit in the Source 210.

How loud browsing the web? Scale of 1 to 10 (1 being NH-D14 and 10 being a Dell's Delta).

It is an i7 and has been like a year and a half but iirc 40C idle. High ambient temps at the time though.

Yeah. I had it as a start, before I actually started overclocking. It was ok, but I also had a  sapphire 5770 which wasn't super quiet.

Cooling is ok as long as you do not overclock.

I did on my Sempron (both the little one and the FX 6300+ one), but I've never used a stock Intel one.

We are talking about a stock cooler, after all. If it were a NH-D15 or something, then I would ask how good it is.

Oh wow, that's actually moderately close to what my ambient is most of the time (like 3-5C lower than mine).

It's usable. I actually did a test with an i3 4330 to see if I could run it passivly While gaming it worked perfectly fine but once I started Aida 64 Extreme it overheatded after a minute. I kinda loud but it's free so...

It would certainly be quieter, although if you're oc'g and driving temps up--therefore driving fan speeds up--maybe not anymore.

I did that with my Sempron and the Cooler Master Hyper TX3. No fan (other than the airflow from my CX430M above it) and it topped out around 45-50C. But that's just a 45 watt processor. When it was unlocked (about double the TDP) it topped out around 70C (airflow from CX430M and rear 120MM fan 2-3CM behind it).

, you have to take into account the lower TDP of it.
