I officially dislike Metro Last Light

They're bottle-necking my AMD bases-system on purpose and optimizing it for NVIDIA.

Well, even on the lowest settings I get 12 FPS and when I switch to the highest I get 12 FPS (No difference in FPS). It's just locked there. I'm bottlenecking so hard.

And my VRAM isn't the issue, I have 4GB of VRAM and running in Crossfire of AMD R9 270X.

It's super sampling anti aliasing. If you don't have a beast rig, it will destroy your framerate.

Make sure you disable physX under the game settings it makes a big difference in FPS atleast to a playable amount.

PhysX is a Nvidia-only feature

Physx is incredibly un-optimized and runs on a single thread, even high end intels wouldn't even pull 60fps.

 

Turn physx off. Also, 4gb 270x incredibly pointless since a 280 is around the same price.

Hmm, because according to this WITHOUT crossfire with everything on max, SSAA.  Everything, the 270x gets 30fps...

Basically like everyone else said it just bogs down performance and take a huge hit, in general that's usually the problem with metro with the low or stuck FPS issue, I had to do the same thing to get playable frame rates. Other than that fix I can only speculate an issue with cross fire and the game not scaling accordingly to the setup.

something is wrong in your system.

my R9 290 gets a rather playable 90 fps on high. and my pc aint that much better than yours ( check signature ) 

 

like mentioned turn off nvidia physix and play around with settings.

Advanced PhysX was on. But the thing was it was causing problems on NVIDIA graphics cards too when I was trying to look for an solution.

As for Metro Last Light I look forward to one day playing it and the other in Redux form.

Also in regards to performance with Metro games haven't they always been poorly optimized and had issues?  No shock if the game isn't hitting FPS you think it should.
