One of the best rally games on PC! Definitely wouldn't recommend using KB+M though, get a 360 controller

I bought it on steam recently as it looks great, but due to games for windows live shutting down you cannot actually save your progress yet, as it saved it to the on the GFWL servers which of course are now shut down. They are getting rid of GFWL, but so far it has been ages and still not happened, so you may not want to play it for a while until this is fixed.

It's a great game, but it is so much better to use with a controller. (I use a Logitech Rumblepad 2) It is strictly a game, so don't expect it to be a racing simulator or something. Graphics are pleasing and aren't very demanding. Great game overall, but the GFWL is terrible

Also has amazing splitscreen multiplayer, and allows for any combination of controls (player 1 can use a keyboard, player 2 can use a controller, etc.)

I was thinking about buying it but then a;; the reviews were saying that you need Games for Windows Live which is a big big no no for me.

I'd recommend a steering wheel and pedals. Far better than any other controller for driving.

Supposedly, GFWL isn't quite dead yet -> tweaktown. I think Dirt 3 is still supposed to get a patch removing GFWL at some point though, ... hopefully soon. I only played it once because I didn't want to mess with that.

I did not like grid 2 at all. It was nothing like the rest of the series.

Dirt 3 however, is a fantastic game. I would highly recommend  it to anyone who is into rally racing.

I play it just fine. I only play single player tho so that could be it.

Yeah, you don't need Games For Windows Live to play single player.
