Dirt 3 now $5, is it a good game?

A friend of mine gave me Dirt 3 when he had a few picks of free games with a new graphics card. I'm not fond of needing an account or the game being stubborn to run - you'll be surprised at the number of people who also have the complaint of Dirt 3 refusing to launch. It probably is an amazing game for those that have no issues with it, but for me personally, I'm glad I got it for free or else not being able to even get the game to run would have upset me if I spent any money.
