The AMD official meeting in Toronto Kaveri APU Run Devil May Cry: DMC situation looks the Kaveri will continue to use the FM2 socket, but it is also possible to use the FM2 + slots, because Kaveri voltage design changed a lot.
AMD desktop APU products Richland and Kaveri two, where the former is an upgraded version of Trinity, structure and processes have not changed and continue to use Socket FM2 slot. In contrast, Kaveri is a new product, process and structure upgrade.

Kaveri CPU architecture upgrade to third-generation Bulldozer core Steamroller GPU is really theGCN architecture , there may be up to 512 units of stream processors. Kaveri is also the first to support the HSA heterogeneous system APU support AMD Huma technology , the CPU and the GPU can share each other's physical and virtual memory. Before the news leaked Kaveri may also support GDDR5 memory , architecture design similar with the PS4.
