To my knowledge the only way to save maps for offline use is built into Google Maps, but I’m not sure how to at would help if you have vision issues.

Can you better explain what you’re trying to do?

Do you need to send a map or directions?

As @GuiltySpark_ mentioned I don't believe you can save a map from the web, just directions.

So that setting is actually map data, like for offline usage. Trouble is I don't really think thats what they're asking for but, you know how these threads go..

I think what OP wants to do is to set up the download on the phone from the web, to not have to do it on a tiny phone screen. I don't know if there is a way to do that.

Don't know if it would work or not in the way needed, but if you plan a route on web, you can "send to phone". It might only store the route and not a whole map area though, but it could be a start. Also it might be temporary or otherwise limited.

Otherwise either get optical enhancements to see phone better, or bigger phone.

What?
Also, there's a typo in your signature. It's "threadripper" not "theardripper"
