AORUS_X3_01.jpg

At Computex 2014 AORUS has officially announced two new gaming notebooks, the 13.3-inch X3 and 13.9-inch X3 Plus. The X3 has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels while the X3 Plus will be available with a 2560 x 1440 or a 3200 x 1800-pixel panel, but apart from that, they are pretty much identical spec-wise.

Both of AORUS' upcoming laptops have a 22.9 mm-thick chassis, weigh just 1.87 kg and pack a 2.5 GHz Core i7-4710HQ processor, 8/16 GB of DDR3L memory, a GeForce GTX 870M 6 GB graphics card, dual 256/512 GB M.2 SSDs in RAID, Killer E2200 Gigabit LAN, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, two 1.5 W speakers, an HD webcam, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, plus mini DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4a outputs. The X3 and X3 Plus will become available in Q3 starting at $2,099 and $2,299, respectively.

So, was it confirmed what the resolution was on the Aorus X7 GTX860M version?

Ok I think this is my next gaming laptops

I love the aesthetic of the x7 but after having an 18.4" gaming laptop I really want something smaller. And my 11.6" is just too underpowered. 13" sizes are my favourite laptops sizes

Hmmm

I need a powerful laptop to do some rendering on the go... and my shitbook (Asus UX21E with a faulty battery, crap ton of dust, Wi-Fi module that works half the time, etc.) needs to be replaced.

It seems that the X3 Plus is much better value wise

I've always liked the appearance of those Aorus laptops. Still, 13" feels a little too small for me. Plus, I assume that the CPU/GPU temperatures kinda suck...
