Hi, I am watching WAN show right now and I can see @LinusTech complaining about Bing again. I am not Bing user when I am on PC I always use Google but I have Windows Phone and whenever I want to find something I just press search button which will open Bing for me and it always worked for me great. So I found it really odd and I tried to search 'Leap Motion V2' as Linus did and it got quite interesting. I got totaly different results on PC compared to Phone. PC results were totaly off... really, really bad while results on my Phone were accurate as if I was searching through Google (almost).

So I wonder... why?! Why cant Microsoft bring good results on PC? What the heck?

(Yea I know it finds only developer site but this is to compare what rubbish results are on PC right on top compared to mobile. Non developer leapmotion search result is on the first page on Phone (6th result) while on PC it is not).

Yeah, this is why Bing sucks and Google wins. Bing should have never existed in the first place. That's why I always trust Google and their accurate results.

wut? that doesn't make sense at all, i know search result can vary depending on location, but that mobile has different that pc is really odd, i'm trying this myself now

I did this same thing while watching the WAN show! I never, ever use Bing, I'm a Google user and will continue to be - But I got a mixed bag of results from BOTH of you now..

 

My results were closer to Linus's, where they barely had ANYTHING to do with the Leap Motion, but then I typed Leap Motion v2 and I had your results. I then tried it on Chrome and it went straight to the wrong one. Hmmm.. ?

I am using Windows Phone 8.1 developer beta right now so I have US localization enabled.

DuckDuckGo doesn't fair quite as well as Google either. The first result is a YouTube video of the demo which is cool, but the actual leap motion blog page is nowhere to be seen. Having said that, the second hit is a link to download the software, and the third is a news post that has just re-posted everything in the blog.

 

As much as Google's search algorithms are better than DuckDuckGo. I decided to try and use them as much as possible and only use Google as a last resort, and I have to say, they've improved greatly, I'm using Google less and less frequently.
