I need a Good graphics card to play Fortnite competitively that fits in a PC built around 1.5k to 1k. I am trying to build a PC for my B-Day and I need some suggestions on A graphics card some people have told me a 4070 and others have told me a 7900gre or a 7800 xt I need a good price to a good to performance card that I can use to get high FPS in Fortnite on lowish settings. If you find a good card I'm still kinda new to building pc's I research a lot but =ot much experience as this will be my first PC so if you could make a PCPP list it would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS 🙂

Note: better build below

For higher quality SSD and MB you'd have to lower storage to 1TB

Alternatively you can also get higher quality parts/save some $ by building in cheaper case (but watch for clearance and if it at least has a fan in it)

Same. I either look at rtings or Monitors Unboxed.

Regarding the OP, the GPU choice for lowish settings from the cards you mentioned will not really matter as much as a good CPU that can push and maintain high and stable frames.

If you don't need GSync, this seems a better deal...  can't paste the Amazon link for some reason so that is concerning...

If I had to choose, I would get the Acer due to price alone.

With your build and your initial monitor budget, I would get a 1440p UW...  But that's my way of thinking.  A solid PC deserves a lot of nice viewing real estate.

Realistically, some games will be able to achieve frame rates far beyond what monitors can show, even that 500hz one.

I simply crank settings up until my fps drops to my monitor refresh.

A 165hz monitor is more than enough imo.   Anything more is gravy and a bonus .

I for one LOVE ultra wide gaming.  It's such a great feel to have that extra side areas for UI stuffs as well as fitting my eyes viewing area.

A UW will compliment your 7800 while not leaving it wanting more.
