Gaming/Work station for ~3000 Euro

Budget (including currency): 3000

Country: Spain

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, programming

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): N/A

Hello fellow gamers, I haven't built a PC in a while, and really need some help with tuning my build.

I live in Spain and one the biggest PC parts provider here has the configurator, which I used to compile this build: https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/96B6562d6

It is not required to pick parts from them, since I can order some components from Amazon, but this seemed the easiest way to configure a PC with parts availability here in mind.

I want this PC to give best performance for 1440p on new games. I'd like refrain from water cooling, as I don't really understand if there is a benefit for the price, but I'm open to new ideas.
Also, I'm kind of a fan of Intel and Nvidia, hence the CPU and GPU picked in the build.

Please help me optimize my build and make it make sense 🙂

Not bad at all, though the NH-D15 is at the price of good AIOs like the arctic LF3 360. If you prefer air cooling that's fine too but look for better value options such as thermalright PS120SE or the AK620 (which are as good or better than the NH-D15)

if you're only productivity is programming (not really productivity ik) then am5 is a better option for upgradability (7800X3D is also the best cpu out there for gaming)

there kinda isn't much benefit unless you live in an environment that isn't climate controled.

Even then, its main benefit only mattering if you're not heat soaking the whole loop with extended periods of heavy workloads for most standard configurations. Really the only benefits of watercooling being the dramatically higher heat capacity and the ability to transport that heat some where else to be more efficiently dissipated. The second benefit allowing for potentially a lot higher TDP depending on where its transported.

You can use es.pcpartpicker.com for availability and pricing in Spain.

I'd suggest using the more powerful i7-14700K. It has 4 more efficiency cores than the i7-13700K.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
