Going with Motherboard that supports DDR5 when switching to SFF build

I still have a i5 12400KF CPU which is compatible with DDR5 but most DDR5 is at 6000MHZ clock speeds but the 12400KF only supports up to 4800MHZ with DDR5. Is there going to be a problem booting my PC with RAM that runs at a higher clock than my CPU!?! Also since each stick of DDR5 is essentially 2 channel is it best to buy one or two stick of DDR5 RAM!?

The speed ratings on RAM are almost always an "up to" speed. Fast RAM can go slow, but slow RAM can't always go fast.

That RAM should happily run at the 12400KF's maximum speed.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

That's the official support figure, in practice 6000MT/s should work relatively consistently. The CPU supports memory overclocking, and very few chips can't do at least 6000MT/s. Even if it wasn't though, there's no downside in running a faster kit at a slower speed (other than cost).

Two sticks.
