so then i think i will have to see physically the a55 i have only seen the nothing phone 2a but i don't how the a55 feels.

Is there a shop near you with it? Like a Samsung store. I have to say that their performance is very similar and they are overall very similar. Since it also seems to be more popular I’d say the nothing phone 2a could be the one to go for

Is the nothing phone 2a value for money since its cheaper than A55 or is it worth to save more for A55? Linus' review for the nothing phone 2a seemed positive so i started considering it. If anyone has any other recommendations for mid-budget phones please let me know.

What about the pixel 7a? Amazon.com: Google Pixel 7a - Unlocked Android Cell Phone - Smartphone with Wide Angle Lens and 24-Hour Battery - 128 GB – Charcoal : Cell Phones & Accessories

here are the reasons to consider either

the samsung is quite a bit worse at gaming than the pixel, same can be said for the nothing phone

What're you going to use it for?

I'd check out the pixel 7a, it's better in a lot of ways and has got the software to back it up, the nothing phone 2a will most likely have longer battery life though and it's got a larger, better screen

Yes it should, though do be wary since the GPU in the phone 2a is slightly weak (for reference my iPhone Xr which is nearly 6 years old, performs nearly the same in Antutu, a GPU benchmark, and better in Geekbench)

The a55 5g is slightly better but still lacking in GPU

It looks like the pixel 7a is out of stock . Will there be a restock? I think pixel 8a is going to be released

How much is the 8 in your country? it's looking very likely that there will be the pixel 8a. There may be a restock for the pixel 7a but I'm not sure. Which country are you in?

A restock should come. I'd say the A55 would be the best option right now (it's got a good screen as well)

I would say 100% Nothing 2(a). I'm actually getting it for my mom over the A55 for the following reasons:

  • MUCH better OS. It's far cleaner than OneUI
  • MUCH better battery and incredibly MUCH shorter charging times
  • Much better design: thinner bezels around the screen, but also overall look and feel with the LEDs

Now the other aspects are very comparable to the A55, including the screen quality and overall performance. Benchmarks don't mean everything and none of these phones are high performers. I would also take it over the Pixel 8a because if it's anything like the Pixel 8, we can expect a relatively short battery life and poor network performance. The SoC also performs poorly compared to other alternatives in this price range.

As far as I'm concerned, you can still NOT get rid of the trash fonts on the Nothing, makes everything hard to read... and the design is garbage on that phone. It's truly a NOTHING of a overrated product if you ask my honest opinion.

Go with the A55, it's much more superb product. The CPU is better and newer, the display is likely superior and so is the rest. Little notch off top, etc. I wouldn't normally cheer for Samsung since I prefer BBK, but the A55 does seem like a solid product.

Is there a shop near you with it? Like a Samsung store. I have to say that their performance is very similar and they are overall very similar. Since it also seems to be more popular I’d say the nothing phone 2a could be the one to go for
